Toss:
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won the toss and have opted to field

🗣️ Rajat Patidar (RCB Captain)
We’ve decided to bowl first. The surface looks hard and good, and we want to see how it behaves in the first innings. Also, today’s match is dedicated to creating awareness for tree plantation. We’re going ahead with the same playing XI.

🗣️ Sanju Samson (RR Captain)
Honestly, we also wanted to bowl first. Local info says batting gets easier as the game progresses. We know the conditions well. If we respect the opposition and play to our strengths, we’ll be good. Ups and downs are part of the game – we just can’t allow doubt to creep into the dressing room. Also, Hasa (Maheesh Theekshana) is back!

🧱 Pitch Report:

📍 Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
📅 First match of the season at this iconic venue!

🌞 Today’s match is being played under the scorching afternoon sun at one of the biggest grounds in India  the majestic Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Deep Dasgupta and Varun Aaron report that the weather is hot with a light breeze. The square boundaries are 62m and 69m, with a 74m straight boundary – offering enough room for both batters and fielders to shine.

The pitch looks absolutely brilliant for batting! Last season, both games played here crossed the 190-run mark. Sanju Samson has scored 150 runs without getting out on this very pitch, and Riyan Parag averages 60+ here! Even Virat Kohli smashed a century on this ground last year!

There are a few cracks visible on the pitch, but the dead grass on top binds it well. It may offer some help to spinners in the second innings, but overall – expect lots of runs!

🧠 Fantasy Tip:
Pick top-order batters from both teams and consider wrist spinners or smart finger spinners who can turn it later. Batting first has historically offered a slight edge here.
