India vs England Today Match Prediction
Match: India vs England
Time: 02 February, 07:00 PM (IST)
Series:: England tour of India, 2025
Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
Info:
- India will take on England in the fifth T20I match on Sunday. This match will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India have already won the series 3-1 with that win in Pune and will be looking to finish off well while England will be playing for pride and take some momentum to the ODI Series. It was a game that had plenty of twists and turns. Put into bat, India were reduced to 12/3, thanks to Saqib Mahmood's triple wicket maiden. Abhishek Sharma and Rinku Singh formed a partnership but they still slipped to 79/5.
- Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya recorded fifties and stitched a crucial partnership to take India's total to 182. Overton bowled a brilliant final over. In reply, England got off a flier with Salt surviving against Arshdeep and Duckett hitting a flurry of boundaries. They forged a fifty stand for the opening stand. Duckett fell off the final ball of the powerplay, Salt and Buttler followed him in quick succession as England slipped from 62/1 to 65/3. Harshit Rana came into the side as Dube's concussion sub and he removed Livingstone off the second T20I delivery. Brook fought and kept England in the hunt with a 25-ball fifty. He fell immediately after that to Varun and Carse holed out a couple of deliveries later. As long as Overton was out in the middle, England would have believed they had a chance but Rana bowled a brilliant penultimate over and provided the killer blow.
- England will feel they could have easily won that game and had multiple oppurtunities to close it out but it was not meant to be and it also shows how good Indian spinners have been to deliver the crucial blows everytime the game was slipping away. They will be keen to bounce back from that dispoointing loss and we can expect a cracking match in Wankhede between these two sides.

Team NEWS:
IND Team News:
- India started the series with a bang as they won the first two T20Is. But then, they hit a bit of a rough patch in the third match, losing to England by 26 runs. However, the Men in Blue bounced back in the IND vs ENG 4th T20I in Pune with a solid 15-run win that clinched the series.
- Batting first, the Indian batsmen got off to an absymal start with Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma, and Suryakumar Yadav not firing as expected. However, Abhishek Sharma (29) and Rinku Singh (30) chipped in with useful knocks. The real fireworks came from Shivam Dube (53 off 34) and Hardik Pandya (53 off 30), who steered the chase to a healthy 181/9.
- With the ball, Ravi Bishnoi, Harshit Rana, and Varun Chakravarthy put in a scintillating display to bowl England out for 166. India will now look to wrap up the series 4-1 and keep the winning momentum going.
ENG Team News:
- On the other hand, England have been mediocre in the series so far. They started strong by bowling first in the last match and reduced India to 12/3, thanks to Saqib Mahmood who picked up three early wickets. But their bowlers lost steam, allowing the Indian batsmen to stitch some neat partnerships.
- When England batted, RCB's newest recruit, Phil Salt once again couldn’t quite find his rhythm, scoring a mere 23 off 21 balls. Ben Duckett chipped in with a quickfire 39 off 19, but captain Jos Buttler had a rare off-day, getting out for just 2.
- Harry Brook showed some fight with 51 off 26 but Liam Livingstone and Jacob Bethell couldn’t fire in time as the visitors fell short by 15 runs. Now, England will look to salvage their pride and secure a win in the last match of the IND vs ENG T20I series.
