 Series:: Womens Premier League 2025
 Venue:   M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

 Info:

  • Royal Challengers Bengaluru continue their ongoing WPL 2025 campaign by taking on Gujarat Giants at the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, in game 12 on Thursday, February 27. The last time these two sides faced each other was in the season opener at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, which the Smriti Mandhana-led side won by six wickets.
  • With two wins and two losses, the defending champions find themselves in the second position in the standings. Though the side had a brilliant start, winning back-to-back games, they have suffered disappointing losses in their previous two games against, Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz, respectively. The Bengaluru side has their last two games left at their home venue and will look to make the most of the remaining games.
  • On the other hand, Gujarat Giants sit in fifth and last place in the standings with one win in four matches. The Ashleigh Gardner-led team's campaign has been terrible, and they will aim to improve with a win and hopefully climb the standings, staying in the race for the playoffs. Their sole victory came against the UP-based team.

Toss:
Gujarat Giants Women have won the toss and have opted to field

Pitch Report:
Anjum Chopra and Stacy-Ann King: "The surface here is always good for batting. We've seen that right through the tournament. But it's a different surface from what it was last evening. Dimensions - 54m and 57m square boundaries, straight hit is 68m. The surface looks nice to bat on. It's pitch number 6, it's the pitch that the first match was played when we got here. Mumbai Indians played RCB and 176 was scored by RCB, it was chased with one ball remaining. So, it's a good batting track. It's pretty dry, it's not as grassy as some of the other pitches, quite hard, quite firm, quite compact. But the only area of concern I think there might be is this area (on a full length outside the line of off-stump for a right-handed batter) of green. What we've seen at this venue so far is 0.7 degrees of seam. So, the bowlers may try to get a bit fuller. Once it seams, it'll spin, so spinners will be in action as well."
